What you can learn from video.
The audience may observe you as relaxed and focused. But how can they be saying that? You know how nervous and scattered you felt.
Having your workshop video means you don’t have to take their word for it. You’ll see the things you do well, even though you didn’t know you were doing them. You’ll discover what you do to project your unique personality. You’ll also see how you can win over an audience…not by being “speakerly”…but by being yourself.
Of course, video is also good for picking up those little annoying nits, like an unconscious habit of standing stiffly or having too many “ums” or “you-knows.” If you see something you don’t like, you can work to correct it. However, the real benefit of video is seeing the things you do naturally that really work.
